Bradley Hammitt is the Head of Commercial Mortgage and Real Estate Investments at Mutual of Omaha. Under his direction, Mutual of Omaha’s commercial mortgage portfolio has nearly doubled to just over $4 billion in four years. Hammitt joined Mutual of Omaha in 2015 as Vice President responsible for sourcing and underwriting commercial real estate mortgage loan investments under a new lending platform, primarily in the eastern half of the United States. Prior to his ascension to the head of the department, Hammitt was the top producer responsible for sourcing and underwriting 81 transactions totaling just over $813 million.

Prior to joining Mutual of Omaha, Hammitt served as a senior mortgage originator for twelve years with American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company in Omaha. Prior to that he served as a mortgage loan originator with American Property Financing in Omaha. Hammitt has over 34 years of experience in the commercial mortgage industry, also gaining experience with Baird & Warner, General American Life Insurance Company and PPM Finance in Chicago.

Hammitt received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
