Jennie Bartholomew serves as vice president of Facilities Management for Nebraska Medicine and associate vice chancellor of Campus Facilities for the University of Nebraska Medical Center and University of Nebraska Omaha. In her position, she oversees operations, planning and construction for the health system and academic enterprise. Bartholomew also manages the organization’s relationship with environmental services partner, Sodexo.

Bartholomew joined the health care system in 2003. She previously served in several roles within the Facilities and Process Improvement departments, including executive director of Facilities Management.

Bartholomew holds a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in executive leadership from University of Nebraska and Gallup Institute. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Nebraska.

Nebraska Medicine is a $1.8 billion academic health system based in Omaha, Ne., with 9,500 employees and more than 1,000 affiliated physicians. It serves as the primary clinical partner of University of Nebraska Medical Center and includes two hospitals and more than 70 specialty and primary care clinics across the state.

As part of her role, Bartholomew leads planning and construction for transformational projects including:
-The Dr. Edwin G. & Dorothy Balbach Davis Global Center, which opened in 2020 and houses the National Quarantine Unit and the iEXCEL clinical simulation program
-The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, which opened in 2017 and includes state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient care and cutting-edge research facilities
-Munroe-Meyer Institute, which opened in April 2021. The facility serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and features clinics, play spaces, a pool and splash pad, a gym and laboratory spaces
-Primary care clinic expansion efforts, including new facilities in community locations including downtown Omaha, North Omaha, Gretna, Elkhorn, Millard and Village Pointe
-Current planning for the Innovation Design Unit and Project Health, including a state-of the art academic medical center facility.

Bartholomew is a Nebraska native and currently lives in Omaha with her husband and daughter.
