An award-winning expert in urban design, adaptive reuse, Jenny has been instrumental in the success of some of APMA’s most complex projects. Her portfolio of adaptive reuse projects includes the transformation of many buildings believed to be past their prime – such as an abandoned power plant turned into a distinctive apartment building; and an historic steel foundry reimagined as an incubator for medical innovation. In addition to her extensive imprint on housing in Omaha, Jenny has also led design efforts for some of the area’s most exciting entertainment spaces, from The Slowdown music venue and Film Streams independent movie theater, to the Hoff Center for Performing Arts and The Union for Contemporary Arts’ Shirley Tyree Theater. Informed by her substantial experience in urban infill and urban redevelopment projects, Jenny enjoys the challenge presented by buildings in downtown environments, which often include tight boundaries and require a sensitive approach.
