Lauren began her career in commercial real estate in Dallas, Texas, where she specialized in structured finance with Goldman Sachs and Cypress Equities. She returned to Nebraska in 2012, taking on roles overseeing real estate for Ameritas and Nelnet. In 2022, Lauren joined McCarthy Capital to develop the firm’s real estate platform. Under her leadership, McCarthy and its affiliated strategy, Nicholas Street Real Estate, focus on value-add real estate investments, employing a diversified approach across asset classes, markets, and structures, in partnership with leading operators and developers. Additionally, Lauren contributes to her community as Board Chair for Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals and Vice Chair for the Lincoln Community Foundation.
